Joyce Lekarcyk, R.N.,B.S., C.D.E

Joyce Lekarcyk is a Senior Diabetes Specialist in nursing and Insulin Pump Therapy at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston.

Joyce has been a nurse and diabetes educator at the Joslin since 1998. She helps develop professional and corporate diabetes education programs, and provides group and individual and pump diabetes education.

She is also involved in training participants to use continuous glucose monitoring. Her clinical interests primarily have been helping participants become self sufficient in using intensive insulin therapy.

Joyce has been a former Recording and Correspondence Secretary for Massachusetts Chapter of American Diabetes Educators. She has lectured in the community as well as for industry and multi- disciplinary professionals.

Joyce has published many articles in various diabetes magazines. She was a contributing author to the recent published Joslin Clinic Guide to Diabetes in 2006.
