Meet the Newest Members of the Joslin Pediatrics Team





Angelina Bernier, MD - Pediatric Endocrinologist
Dr. Bernier comes to Boston from Gainsville, FL. She attended college and medical school at the University of Florida and completed her residency and pediatric endocrine fellowship there as well. Dr. Bernier is bilingual in English and Spanish and last year she was inducted into the National Hispanic Scholar Hall of Fame!  She likes salsa dancing and is learning to play tennis. Dr. Bernier is excited to be in New England and looks forward to apple-picking in the fall and skiing in the winter.  Dr. Bernier will be working at both Boston Medical Center and Joslin; she will be at Joslin on Wednesdays.

 




                             

Andrew Dauber, MD - Pediatric Endocrine Fellow
Dr. Dauber is originally from Teaneck, NJ. He began his career in the medical field during college at Columbia University in New York, where he worked as an EMT in Manhattan. After graduating from college, Dr. Dauber moved to Boston to attend Harvard Medical School.  He then completed his residency at Children's Hospital Boston, as well as an additional year as chief resident.  Dr. Dauber loves working with children, playing basketball, and watching movies.





 

Katherine Garvey, MD - Pediatric Endocrine Fellow
Dr. Garvey is from Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Dartmouth College and worked as a high school science teacher before attending Harvard Medical School. Dr. Garvey stayed in Boston after medical school, completing a combined science residency program in pediatrics at Children's Hospital Boston and Boston Medical Center, followed by a year as chief resident. Dr. Garvey loves working with kids and families and is particularly interested in diabetes and medical education. In her free time she enjoys hiking, backpacking, and spending time with her 6-month-old son, Luke!

 



Rebecca Riba, MD - Pediatric Endocrine Fellow
Dr. Riba is originally from Thiells, NY. She went to college at Cornell University and medical school at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. Dr. Riba moved to Boston three years ago to do her residency at Children's Hospital Boston. She enjoys cooking, baking, spending time outdoors, and working with children and their families. A fun fact about Dr. Riba is that she once worked as a zookeeper!
